    Professional Learning

    Save the Date: CSNSW Behaviour Symposium

    Catholic Schools NSW's 2025 Behaviour Symposium will be held on Thursday 22 May and Friday 23 May 2025.

    The symposium will feature Tom Bennett OBE, a leading expert in behaviour management both at a classroom and a whole-school level. Additional speakers for the event include Andrew Fuller, Dr Jacqueline Amos, representatives from the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO), and Alex Kohn.

    Classroom and School Behaviour Management – 22 May 2025

    Designed for Early Career Teachers and those who are looking to enhance their professional practice, this day focuses on practical classroom behaviour management strategies.

    The day will also provide opportunities for assistant principals to engage in a dedicated Masterclass on school behaviour management with Tom Bennett. Finally, the program will appeal to those leading respectful relationships education programs as there will be a keynote and workshop stream dedicated to this topic.

    System Approaches for Behaviour Management – 23 May 2025

    System, school and wellbeing leaders will participate in discussions on policies and procedures to shape and maintain positive, safe and respectful learning environments. This day includes dedicated breakout sessions on respectful relationships, school safety and mental health.

    Studies in Catholic Thought – The Trinitarian God Professional Learning

    For: Secondary RECs/Leaders of Mission

    Secondary Religious Education teachers have the opportunity to participate in professional learning designed to deepen their understanding of the Year 11 SICT course content. This session will also explore teaching and learning experiences, assessment strategies, pedagogy, and resources tailored for the Stage 6 classroom.
